The Woods and The Gates Homes at The Woods are estate-sized homes on lots ranging from 7350 to more than 14000 square feet. There are 344 homes that make up this community. The Woods also includes The Gates at the Woods by EastLake, site of the 2003 Tour d’Elegance, which comprises 59 estate-sized custom lots. The Woods is marked by a Venetian bridge at one of the entrances, and a street lined with 76-year-old Eucalyptus trees at the other. Iron street lamps and detailed iron gates custom-crafted by artisans, beveled curbs, etched sidewalks, lush landscaping and other details add to the neighborhood’s distinction. Residents of The Woods and The Gates enjoy the use of the stately Woods Clubhouse, inspired by legendary architect Addison Mizner and designed by Doug Mansfield of Laguna Beach. The 10000-square-foot, two-story private resident clubhouse includes swimming pools, spa, a fitness room, demonstration kitchen, and formal and informal indoor and outdoor gathering areas. The area is nestled up against the base of Mt. San Miguel and commands spectacular views. The community is far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the city, yet 5 minutes to the 125, and a brief golf cart ride to any shopping, dining or school. The public schools in the area rival any private, and the community facilities are bar none. The parks boast outdoor hockey arenas, baseball, multi-use fields, basketball, large & small dog parks, tot lots, tennis courts, skate park and a community center …
