This is the future of public tennis in Tulsa, Okalhoma. On Sunday, October 3, 2010, the Tulsa County Parks Department invites the public to the LaFortune Park Tennis Center to celebrate this premier public tennis facility. It will also mark the kick-off of “PHASE III: ADVANTAGE LAFORTUNE. This is a capital campaign that is aimed at raising .2 million for 3 indoor courts and a 3200 sq.ft. clubhouse with locker rooms, retail sales area, observation deck, administrative offices and storage. The current clubhouse, built in 1969, can no longer handle the influx of players and manage the increased number of tournaments that the tennis center hosts throughout the summer.
